We've spent the last couple weekends on Mackinac Island. We've always gone off to attend church in my husband's hometown on the mainland. However, flying off is expensive. I've enjoyed Mackinac Island Bible Church the past two Sundays. In the summer, it meets in Mission Point's Theater. It meets in the home of the Pastor's family during the winter. Reminds me of the early church in Acts 2!
Today, my firstborn donned her "Fancy Nancy" outfit (my sister gave her this cute ensemble). She wanted to see what she looked like, so I took this picture right after church.

Do you usually stay on the island all winter when the ferries aren't running?
ReplyDeleteWe live on the island year round. Last winter, we flew off almost every weekend for church. That was expensive. We are taking a break from teaching Sunday School this winter quarter. We are only flying off when we have to- Phil has a couple of recruitment events for work and I have jury duty. It's been neat to attend church on the island!
