July 4th, 2011

Pancake breakfast at the Fire Hall: (Local maple syrup!)

It is really popular, as evidenced by the line:

I played trombone with the band, so don't have traditional parade pictures to share. It was brand new- it was a real treat to be the first to play it!

Kids Games:

Had to look!

Home, sweet Mackinac home!

Crossing the Mackinac Bridge:

During "The Armed Forces Salute" those who have served were asked to stand:

We caught the 10:30 Arnold Line to the island. Watching fireworks from the top of the ferry was AWESOME!

  1. I bet the fireworks were beautiful!

  2. It was a fantastic way to watch fireworks!

  3. It was so nice meeting you and your girls at the park behind the Art Museum! Thank you for the recommendations on fun places to take James and Daisy; they loved the butterfly house.

  4. It was so nice to meet you too, Janice! Your children are adorable! It was fun to meet another mommy-of-two my age. I went to the Butterfly House the next day, just talking about it with you got me itching to go! I am glad James and Daisy loved it!
