There goes the Ottawa! (which we rode for the first time last weekend)
The Grand Hotel is open:
The waters of Lake Huron were so still:
Cormorants (not a bird species native to the area and they eat enough to harm fishing business)
Lovely Mackinac Island:
Pulling in to the dock:
We got to school early, so enjoyed the view of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge:
My happy two and a half year old:
Ripples from ferry that recently passed:
God spoils us! What a beautiful world!
The new paint color looks nice!
Mission Point Resort!
The adirondack chairs are out! Definite sign of the summer season!
The tulips became more brilliantly colored since I saw them last:
So many tulips!
It's not everyday that the waters are so still:
Stunning!
View from Mackinac Island Public School's playground (we stayed and played for over an hour after school. Lots of other families did the same and it was nice to have some good conversations!)
The Mackinac Bridge:
The trees have spring green buds:
This was our last bike ride like this. Downtown is getting too busy for my new little cyclist and her training wheels.
Protecting her shell ;) with a Mackinac Island Bicycle helmet! I believe you can buy your own for $30. There was a grant that gave each child at the school their own helmet- thank you Mackinac Island Community Foundation!
"There's finally chairs out there again!!!" she said as we passed the lawn. Even a five year old can recognize the time the tourist season returns! :)
I'm loving the tulips!
Great pics...Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh, my favorite lawn. A beautiful world indeed and I love the colors of the tulips. Simply beautiful. Can't wait to return in July and take a seat on one of those adirondack chairs. I just love sitting there looking out at the water and listening to all the sounds... bouy, seagulls, the water. Hope they have those awesome Smores at The Bistro on the Greens again this year too. :o)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures!! I'm loving the monkey backpack.
